The following businesses are looking for employees.

  • Yes Whatcom - The YES Whatcom awareness campaign, and this website, create space for families, educators, businesses, and policymakers to align with a common goal: To connect youth with local careers while also contributing to the local economy in positive ways. The Whatcom Business Alliance (WBA) understands that the key to a robust local economy is the availability of a skilled workforce. With that in mind, WBA launched the Youth Engagement Initiative (YEI) in 2018 to help prepare the emergent workforce and to connect them with local employers. Under the Youth Engagement Initiative umbrella, a YES Whatcom campaign was created to raise awareness of career options, hands-on learning experiences, paid internships, and apprenticeship programs that are available at Whatcom organizations.
  • Whatcom Business Alliance 
  • Rader Farms - Summertime employment - No experience needed, on-the-job training, positive, friendly outdoor setting, safe work environment. Application is available outside the Counseling Center.  
  • Maberry Packing - Seasonal job opportunities include: raspberry harvesters, packing plant, flat washing, lab techs, truck drivers, ticket punchers, and forklift drivers.
  • Enfield Farms -  Seasonal job opportunities
  • Holmquist Hazelnut Orchards - 
  • Silverado Memory Care - Jobs in the healthcare fields including CNA, LPN, cook, culinary aide, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance.  Training is available.
  • WCLS - The Whatcom County Library System has several different job postings available online.  
  • WCC - If you are planning to attend Whatcom Community College in the fall, there are job opportunities available through the Office of Student Life and Development.  Benefits include: gaining valuable leadership skills, serving your fellow students, making lifetime friendships, making a positive impact, building your resume, and working on campus! No experience is necessary.  Applications are due March 22nd.

  • Birch Bay Waterslides - positions available for lifeguard, concessions, grounds crew, Birch Bay Pizza manager, and crew members.  See the link for details.  In order to apply for any position you must submit a cover letter and resume to employment@birchbaywaterslides.net.  Please include your availability beginning from May 23rd - Sept. 7th.
