Nooksack Productions Team Finishes Major STEM Project
In an effort to highlight the career opportunities that exist in the field of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and practice their own skills at the same time, Nooksack Productions used the summer to finish up the first of an upcoming series of videos.
In the debut production, advisor Owen Craig took five students to interview Eric Chauvin, a local digital matte painter for movies and television for three decades. Chauvin spent 50 minutes discussing his story, the art and science behind his work and offering a tour of his studio.
The team wrapped up a video highlighting his work, putting into practice plenty of STEM-related skills in the process. The students even created commercials they created for local businesses as a fresh approach to fundraising.
